FAQs

How far in advance when ordering from Wildflower Confectionery?

Wildflower Co. is a one (sometimes two) person operation which means our schedule fills up fast. We recommend inquiring 3-6 weeks before your event date but all inquiries are considered. Please send all inquiries to wildflowerconfectionery@gmail.com

What is Wildflower Confectionery’s cake style?

Wildflower Co. Specializes in fresh floral cake designs and buttercream frosting. We do not use fondant and highly recommend checking out our Gallery, Facebook page, or Instagram to get a better sense of our unique style.

Do you provide a cake stand or display item for our cake?

Yes! We do offer cake stands and trays upon request for an additional fee. We are always on the lookout for beautiful cake stands and trays to offer our clients but supplies are limited as we do not buy in bulk. Make sure to ask about our current display options!

Can you copy another design from another bakery?

We welcome inspirational photos from other designers; however, as artists ourselves, we will ask for artistic freedom as we do not offer replicas. We also may not have the exact tools that other designers use or experience with their personal style.

Do you offer gluten-free, vegan, or allergen-free options?

Due to cross contamination, Wildflower Confectionery cannot guarantee products 100% free of allergens. We offer gluten-free options on a case-by-case basis, but encourage clients to order through a specialized bakery for severe allergies.

How do I transport & store my cake?

Transporting: Cakes can be tricky to transport and we recommend placing the cake on the floorboards of your vehicle with the AC directed towards the cake. Keep cake/dessert as flat as possible and drive cautiously. Transporting cakes can be quite nerve-wracking!

I must mention that once your cake has left my kitchen, it is no longer my responsibility. I highly recommend following the transporting and storage suggestions listed in this FAQ as these tips have worked well for me.

Storage: If you’re serving the cake the same day, room temperature indoors should be fine. If your cake has fresh flowers, the refrigerator is ideal. We recommend taking the cake out of the refrigerator about 2 hour prior to slicing/serving and keeping at room temperature.

Next day storage: Store cake in the refrigerator; only if it has fresh florals you want to preserve. otherwise, we think it’s best kept at room temperature after being cut.

Outdoors: Cakes/desserts won’t last long in the heat, so make sure to keep refrigerated or in an air conditioned space for as long as possible. If the cake must be outdoors, place it in the SHADE. Your cake will only keep it’s shape as long as a stick of butter would in that setting.

Can you help me plan a girls’ night, date night or family night?

We thought you’d never ask! We created the Date Cake & Box and the Cooped Up Cake Kit for the kiddos for just these kind of nights!

Make sure to check them out on our website for more details!
